I happen to have very, very little to do with Zen Buddhism, though I once paid a visit to a 45-minute meditation ceremony. Believe me, you can make a lot of interesting shapes out of drywall if you look at it long enough. Some may claim to dedicate their lives to an ideal. Others may claim there is no ideal to dedicate to. Still others live in simple apathy and avoid defining what they want to mean. My answer: I do all in my power to keep the string that is humanity unbroken, taut, and vibrating, such that it can make beautiful music. |
